XEO Laser Hair Removal

From getting rid of facial hair to chest hair, stomach hair, pubic hair or hair anywhere you wish, solutions do exist. Shaving can be a time-consuming experience, and often does not provide the level of smoothness that you want. Worse yet, with each shave, you make the hairs more likely to return thicker and more visible than ever.

The XEO Machine for Laser Hair Removal/Reduction Treatment

Are you tired of the red bumps, ingrown hairs, nicks, and scratches that go hand in hand with shaving? Have you tried waxing but dread the painful procedure, especially on your most sensitive areas? Depilatories smell awful and can leave your skin red and irritated.

Laser Hair Removal eliminates shaving and waxing so yoour skin will be smooth and bump free painlessly. For good!

A better alternative for safe, effective hair removal is here with the XEO ND Yag Laser System by Cutera.

What Is the Cutera XEO Laser System?

The Cutera XEO Laser System is a laser and light-based machine that is customizable with several different attachments to offer a wide array of aesthetic cosmetic procedures. Dermatologists and certified aestheticians use the system primarily for safe, effective hair removal, but also for reducing the appearance of the following conditions:

  • Acne scars
  • Age spots
  • Freckles
  • Spider veins
  • Wrinkles
  • Sun damage

How Does the Cutera XEO Laser System Work for Hair Removal?

During laser hair removal, a laser emits pulses of highly concentrated light directly into the hair follicle. The pigment, or melanin, in each follicle absorbs the light and converts it into heat energy. This intense heat destroys the hair and makes it impossible for the follicle to grow hair again.
Because dark hair has more pigment and absorbs more heat, it responds better to laser hair removal treatments than light or fine hair. However, all skin colors and types can be treated successfully with the XEO Laser System.

What Are the Best Customizable Options for Hair Removal?

Cutera uses their proprietary truPulse technology that emits constant and controlled light energy to deliver consistent, proven results for patients.

  • truPulse ND:YAG: This tried and true treatment for laser hair removal is compatible with all skin types and delivers consistent results in as few as four to six treatments.
Is It Permanent?
Laser hair removal is permanent hair reduction, not permanent hair removal. Some patients may require maintenance treatments once a year, even after the area has been fully treated. The reason: The laser targets and destroys your current hair follicles, but new follicles can develop because of things like hormonal changes or shifts in weight.
What Are the Risks?
The biggest risk with lasers is eye damage. Both the patient and the person operating the laser should be wearing goggles specific to the type of laser that is being used. Other risks include blistering, scarring, and burns that can discolor your skin. Some redness and swelling can be expected, but you should not be getting burned or blistered.
Does It Hurt?
The procedure hurts-but not a lot. It stings and is typically described as a rubber band snapping against your skin. But it only stings for a millisecond, about the time it takes for the laser to target your hair follicle and zap it away. Skin may be a little red and puffy after the procedure, but you shouldn’t feel any pain in the area by the time you are leaving the office.
Will It Work on My Skin Type and Hair Color?
Laser hair removal works on almost every skin type-from very light-skinned people all the way up to dark skin. Blonde, gray, or light red hair is difficult to treat as the laser is targeting color.
How Long Does It Take?
The actual procedure time depends on the area being treated. Each hair follicle is zapped in a millisecond, so a small area (such as the armpits) will take less than five minutes to complete, while a larger area (such as the legs) might take a half hour or more.
Suggested number of treatments before you’re completely hair-free is typically 5-6 treatments.
Where Should I Remove Hair?
The only place you must avoid is around the eyes-eyebrows (including a unibrow), upper cheeks, and temples which need to be tweezed or waxed because of the risk of eye damage from the laser. But everywhere else is just fine.
