Katy is a certified women’s health nurse practitioner who joined Sweetwater OBGYN in November 2024. She is originally from Charlotte, NC and moved to Texas in 2017 to be closer to family.
Katy graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017. She worked in the Pediatric ICU at Texas Children’s for 7 years before she discovered her love for women’s health and decided to go back to school. She then obtained her Master of Science in Nursing, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2023, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She then worked for a year in pediatric and adolescent gynecology before joining the practice. Katy’s passion is empowering women to understand and optimize theirhealth. Shespecializes in wellness, adolescent gynecology, sexual health counseling , contraception, and abnormal bleeding patterns.
Katy currently lives in Pearland with her husband and their cat and dog. She enjoys live music, traveling, and being outside as much as possible.
